History
Oakhill College opened in 1978 in response to the closure of Notre Dame Convent school in nearby Blackburn. The Notre Dame feeder school, Heathfield, needed an alternative secondary school, and Oakhill met this need. During the last 10 years the College has shown remarkable growth and development:

In 1998 ownership changed and an ambitious building programme was started.

In 1998 the pupil roll was 145.

In 2000 the Millennium Hall was opened, containing facilities for dining, assembly and PE.

In 2001 the existing 9 acres of land was extended by the purchase of a further 15 acres.

In 2003 a new Preparatory School building was opened.

In 2007 a state of the art Sports Hall and Fitness Suite (Oakhill Academy) was opened.
