About Us

Acorns Nursery has been established for nearly 20 years and is based in the picturesque grounds of Oakhill College. We started as a single department operating with two members of staff during term time only, and has since grown to become a two department nursery employing 7 full-time qualified Nursery Nurses and is open for 51 weeks of the year.

The mature and established team are enthusiastic about the high standards of childcare they provide, which has given Acorns Nursery the excellent reputation it has gained today within the local community and surrounding area.

Acorns Nursery has gained awards such as Investors in People and Accreditation to the Preschool Learning Alliance and is currently undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award.

The need of every individual child in our care is paramount and every child is respected as an individual. After 20 years of giving nursery care it is a great testament and privilege to welcome back past pupils as parents who are now entrusting their children to us.
