Years 5 & 6 spent an afternoon testing their sense of smell and learning all about the perfume industry. Sam Reedy’s father, Ben, kindly agreed to talk to the pupils about how perfume is made and used in industry. Everyone had a chance to examine - and sniff! – a variety of products from baby cream to washing up liquid whilst Mr Reedy, who works for Fragrance Oils International, explained all the processes involved in creating perfumes. The pupils then had 11 “mystery” perfumes to identify. We would like to thank Mr Reedy for taking time out of his busy schedule to share this wonderful experience with us all.
